Single User and Studio Licenses

Should you get a single user or studio license? What is the difference? This article will help answer all of your questions.

Single User License

Single user license is for one-person use only. If you want to share a single user license arrangement, direct your friends to amandateromusic.com where they can legally purchase their own copies. If you are a piano teacher, see our studio license guidelines below.


You are not allowed to

  • Share a single user license digital or print copy with anyone (friends, colleagues, collaborators, students, etc.)
  • Resell a single user license
  • Post pictures of a single user license arrangement online
  • Upload a single user license arrangement to public platforms where others can access it

You are allowed to:

  • Store a single user license arrangement on your personal digital devices (computer, tablet, phone, etc.)
  • Print a single user license arrangement for your personal use
  • Perform a single user license arrangement
  • Share videos online of you performing a single user license arrangement (please credit Amanda Tero Music)

Studio License

Studio license is for a one-teacher studio to use for his/her personal students.


You are not allowed to

  • Share a studio license arrangement with other teachers (if you are in a multi-teacher studio, please refer other teachers to purchase their own studio license copies)
  • Share a studio license arrangement with non-students
  • Donate studio license arrangements to anyone
  • Resell a studio license arrangement 
  • Post pictures of a studio license arrangement  online
  • Upload a studio license arrangement to public platforms where others can access it

You are allowed to

  • Store a studio license arrangement on your personal digital devices (computer, tablet, phone, etc.)
  • Use a studio license arrangement for lifetime for your personal studio
  • Print or share unlimited  digital copies of a studio license arrangement to your personal students 
  • Include a studio license arrangement in your studio’s public performances (please credit Amanda Tero in your program notes)
  • Use a studio license arrangement for your personal use
  • Share videos online of you or your students performing a studio license arrangement (please credit Amanda Tero Music)
